Paul Tapia, MD:
Dr. Tapia was born and raised in California. He attended Serra High School in San Mateo, 30 minutes south of San Francisco. After graduating from high school, he earned a degree in Psychology from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
Aspiring to become a physician since the 8th grade, he graduated from Creighton University Medical School with a doctorate in medicine.
Fascinated by the miracle of childbirth and surgery, Dr. Tapia completed an additional 4 years of post-graduate training at the University of Missouri, Kansas City in obstetrics, gynecology and pelvic surgery.
After receiving his certificate from the University of Missouri, Dr. Tapia served two years in the United States Army as an OB/GYN, achieving the rank of Captain.
Dr. Tapia is Board Certified by The American Board of OB/GYN in obstetrics, gynecology and pelvic surgery. He is married and has three children. Interests include hunting, exercise physiology, nutrition and weight loss.
Dr. Tapia is a martial artist and is currently a first degree Black Belt in Chinese Kenpo Karate.
